5 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong yesterday, 5 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Happy Valley (click on the horse name to watch a video replay of each race):

  • 4YO gelding Think Big (Lucky Owners-Chinese Whispers, by Woodman) won over 1200m for trainer Dennis Yip. Think Big was a $3,500 yearling at the 2007 Inglis Australian Select Sale.
  • 4YO gelding Caga Spirit (Sedaka-Belle Atalante, by Noalcoholic) won over 1200m for trainer Dennis Yip. Caga Spirit was a $2,500 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Christmas Mixed Sale.
  • 7YO gelding Floral Nirvana (Fusaichi Pegasus-Not On Friday, by At Talaq) won over 2200m for trainer Danny Shum. Floral Nirvana was a $325,000 yearling at the 2004 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 7YO gelding Noble Conqueror (Danehill-Target Figure, by Diesis) won over 1800m for trainer Caspar Fownes. Noble Conqueror was a $350,000 yearling consigned by Coolmore Stud at the 2004 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
  • 3YO gelding Tai Sing Yeh (Not A Single Doubt-Precious Lass, by Ashkalani) won over 1200m for trainer Manfred Man. Tai Sing Yeh was a $17,000 yearling at the 2008 Magic Millions Summer Sale & subsequently a $125,000 2YO at the 2008 Magic Millions National Horses-in-Training Sale.
