Herculian Prince Wins Japan Racing Association Plate

Deceased NZ White Robe Lodge stallion Yamanin Vital (Sir Tristram-She Might Hula, by Caucasus) added a black-type success when favoured 4YO gelding Herculian Prince (Yamanin Vital-Sea Island, by Woodman) notched his 4th successive win with a 1.25-lengths victory in $100,000 Listed Japan Racing Association Plate (2000m) at Randwick. Herculian Prince (ridden by Glyn Schofield for trainer Gai Waterhouse) defeated 4YO entire Above Average (High Chaparral-Crystal Valkyrie, by Danehill) & 5YO gelding Booming (Don Eduardo-Beautiful Sea, by Grosvenor). Herculian Prince took his record to 7 wins (also including last start's Listed Neville Sellwood Stakes over 1900m at Canterbury on April 5) & 2 runners-up from 11 starts for $199,686 earnings.
