Monday, 19th April 2010

Vinery Stud's 6-time Gr1-winning stallion Testa Rossa (Perugino-Bo Dapper, by Sir Dapper) added a black-type quinella when gelded son Red Colossus (Testa Rossa-Palace Glow, by Palace Music) notched his 3rd successive victory when he gained the decision in a 3-way photo-finish to the $70,000 Listed Chairman's TAB Stakes (2014m) for 3YOs at Morphettville. Red Colossus (ridden by Chris Symons for trainer Greg Eurell) scored by a long-neck from fellow gelding Token Of Honour (Testa Rossa-Princess Plume, by Military Plume) with a further neck to another gelding Kidnapped (Viscount-Youthful Presence, by Dehere). Red Colossus (a $100,000 yearling consigned by Basinghall Farm at the 2008 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale) now has 4 wins (also including last start's Listed Port Adelaide Guineas over 1800m at Morphettville on March 27) from 9 starts for $142,863 earnings.
