Viva Hong Kong Wins Gr1 Macau-HK Trophy

In the weekend's other Gr1 contest in Macau, 6YO gelding Viva Hong Kong (Lemon Drop Kid-Spring Pitch, by Storm Cat) scored a 0.75-lengths victory in the Gr1 Macau-Hong Kong Trophy (1500m) at Taipa. Viva Hong Kong (ridden by Fred Durso for Australian trainer Gary Moore) defeated Australian-bred 5YO gelding Ecstatic Macau (Delago Brom-A Class Act, by Brief Truce) & Australian-bred 7YO gelding Jazza Bel (Zabeel-Alharir, by Jeune). Viva Hong Kong now has 4 wins & 3 placings (including January's Gr3 Winter Trophy over 1800m) from 15 starts. Viva Hong Kong's sire Lemon Drop Kid (Kingmambo-Charming Lassie, by Seattle Slew) is a half-brother to Eliza Park Stud shuttler Statue Of Liberty.
