5 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong last night, 5 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Happy Valley (click on the horse name to watch a video replay of each race):

  • 5YO gelding Energetic Boy (Fusaichi Pegasus-Angel Baby, by Red Anchor) won over 1800m for Australian trainer John Size. Energetic Boy was a $52,500 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.
  • 6YO gelding Be My Song (Umatilla-Honest To Goodness, by Jugah) won over 1200m for trainer Michael Chang. Be My Song was an $85,000 yearling at the 2005 Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne.
  • 4YO gelding Golden Bauhinia (Fusaichi Pegasus-Dream Leica, by Maroof) won over 1200m for trainer Me Tsui. Golden Bauhinia was a $52,000 yearling at the 2007 Magic Millions Winter Sale.
  • 3YO gelding Chevalier King (Cape Cross-Verneau, by Lion Cavern) won over 1000m for expatriate Australian trainer John Moore. Chevalier King was a $150,000 yearling at the 2008 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 5YO gelding Good Gains (Tale Of The Cat-Cloudcrest, by Pillaster) won over 1650m for trainer Dennis Yip. Good Gains was an $80,000 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
