Sambuca Wins Venezuela Gr1 Republica

In South America, 6YO entire Sambuca (Seek Smartly-Miss Cecyvick, by Slew Prince) thrashed his rivals by 8.5-lengths in Venezuela's Gr1 Clasico Presidente De La Republica (2400m) for 4YOs & up at Hipodromo La Rinconada in Caracas. Sambuca (ridden by Johan Aranguren for trainer Antonio Bellardi) defeated 5YO entire King Seraf (Water Poet-Amandina Lady, by Slew Prince) & 4YO mare Miss Miranda (High Security-Courtesan, by Island Music). Previously this year, Sambuca placed in both March's Gr2 Clasico Jose Maria Vargas (2000m) & February's Gr3 Clasico Socopo (1600m). In 2008 he won the Listed Copa Taconeo (1900m) & finished runner-up in the Gr2 Clasico Gradisco (1600m). In 2007 Sambuca won the Gr1 Clasico Jockey Club De Venezuela (1800m), Gr2 Clasico Guardia Nacional De Venezuela, Gr3 Copa Juan Carmona (1600m) & Copa Invitacional Del Caribe (1600m). And in 2007 Sambuca won the Listed Copa Sweet Candy (1800m) & placed in both the Listed Gran Premio Unicria (1600m) & Listed Clasico My Own Business (1800m).
