Florida 2YOs Day-3: US$150k Whywhywhy Filly

Friday, 23rd April 2010

In the US, Silverton Hill paid top price of US$150,000 for a filly by Whywhywhy (out of stakes-placed Boundary mare Vermillion Sea) during the 3rd session at the 4-day Ocala Breeders' Sales Company Spring Sale of 2YOs-In-Training in Florida. The filly (a half-sister to stakes-placed Big Lou) clocked the fastest time of 32.8sec for 3 furlongs during the pre-sale breeze-up session & was consigned by Michael Yates's Shadybrook Farm as agent; Yates previously purchased her for just $37,000 at last year's Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
