Inglis Melb Yearlings Day-1: Average Up 28%

Overall on Day-1 in Melbourne, 172 yearlings sold for $2,195,600 at a clearance of 79%. The average of $12,765 was up 28% on last year's opening session. Inglis director Peter Heagney commented: "We are very pleased with that opening session result today. Horses that were well-prepared & well-presented sold extremely well & there was international competition from New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore & Macau."
