US Gr1-Winner Mushka Retired To Distorted Humor Match

Brushwood Stable announced US Gr1-winning 5YO mare Mushka (Empire Maker-Sluice, by Seeking The Gold) has been retired & will be bred to former Grand Lodge Thoroughbreds shuttler Distorted Humor. Mushka (originally a sale-topping US$1.6 million yearling at the 2006 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga August Sale & subsequently a US$2.4 million purchase by Brushwood as a 3YO filly at the 2008 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale) retires with 6 wins (including the Gr1 Juddmonte Spinster Stakes over 9 furlongs, Gr2 Demoiselle Stakes over 9 furlongs & Gr3 Glens Falls Handicap over 11 furlongs) & 6 placings (including the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic over 9 furlongs, Gr2 Sheepshead Bay Handicap over 11 furlongs, Canadian Gr2 Dance Smartly Handicap over 9 furlongs & Gr3 Suwannee River Handicap over 9 furlongs) from 19 starts for US$1,096,125 earnings.
