Distorted Humor Adds US Black-Type

Former Grand Lodge Thoroughbreds shuttler Distorted Humor (Forty Niner-Danzig's Beauty, by Danzig) added a US black-type success when 4YO mare Bubbler (Distorted Humor-Grechelle, by Deputy Minister) scored a 0.75-length victory in the US$50,000 Listed Irving Distaff Stakes (7.5 furlongs on turf) for fillies & mares at Lone Star Park in Texas. Bubbler (ridden by Eddie Martin for trainer Bret Calhoun) defeated 5YO mares Slide On Bye (Smart Strike-Classic Misty, by Sky Classic) & Hisse (Buddha-Street Beat, by Dixie Brass). Bubbler took her record to 6 wins (also including last start’s Listed Sam Houston Distaff Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Sam Houston Park in March & January's Listed Marie Krantz Memorial Handicap over 8.5 furlongs at Fair Grounds, plus 2009's Listed Gallery Furniture Distaff Stakes over 9 furlongs at Sam Houston) from 8 starts for US$191,622 earnings.
