Ego's Dare Wins Hall Mark Stakes

Arrowfield Stud stallion Hussonet (Mr Prospector-Sacahuista, by Raja Baba) added a black-type success (& 73rd stakes-winner world-wide) when favoured 5YO gelding Ego’s Dare (Hussonet-Almond Essence, by Seattle Slew) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the $100,000 Listed Hall Mark Stakes (1200m) at Randwick. Ego’s Dare (ridden by Blake Shinn for trainer Gerald Ryan) defeated fellow 5YO gelding Black Prince (Commands-Munum Miss, by Spritely Knight) & 6YO gelding God’s Hand (Galileo-Blessed be, by Brief Truce). Ego’s Dare (a $250,000 yearling consigned by Bellerive Stud at the 2006 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale) now has 6 wins & 4 placings (including 2009’s Listed Falvelon Handicap over 1200m at Eagle Farm) from 18 starts for $245,175 earnings.
