Tuesday, 27th April 2010

Overall at the Inglis Melbourne Autumn Sale, 254 yearlings sold in the main Session 1 section for $3,110,100 (up 18% on last year) at an average $12,244 (up 23%). With the median also up 20% & the clearance rate reaching 80%, Inglis director Peter Heagney commented: “It’s been quite a satisfactory sale with good competition from a wide range of buyers. It was pleasing to see so many foreign buyers taking an active interest, in particular a number of different buyers from Korea, who took away 10 horses from the sale. The popularity of Super Vobis was also very evident, with those horses qualified attracting strong interest.”
