South Africa Yearlings Day-2: $571k Jet Master Colt

Tuesday, 27th April 2010

Leading Gauteng trainer Geoff Woodruff (acting on behalf of an unnamed international client) set another new all-time record for a SA yearling when he paid the Day-2 top price of R4 million (A$571,000) for colt by South Africa’s champion stallion of the last 3 seasons Jet Master & already named Devine Jet (out of Al Mufti mare Divine Nymph) consigned by Highlands Farm. The colt’s dam Divine Nymph has previously produced Gr1-winner Divine Jury & Woodruff enthused: Woodruff said: “I bought Devine Jet for an overseas buyer who fell in love with the horse & the pedigree & was prepared to pay. I know the family well, having trained Devine Jet’s dam as well as his half-sister Divine & his dam’s half-sister Gushing.”
