Desert Style Adds French Black-Type

In France overnight, former Yarraman Park shuttler Desert Style (Green Desert-Organza, by High Top) added a black-type success when Irish-bred colt Mister Manannan (Desert Style-Cover Girl, by Common Grounds) scored a 2-lengths victory in the €55,000 (A$83,000) Prix Sigy (1200m) for 3Yos at Chantilly. Mister Manannan (ridden by Adrian Nicholls for trainer David Nicholls) defeated the gelding Yosolito (Keltos-Fusee Francaise, by Anabaa) & UK-bred fellow colt Top Music (Unbridled's Song-Top Order, by Dayjur). Mister Manannan was a £30,000 (A$50,000) yearling at the 2008 Doncaster August Sale & last year as a juvenile he also won the UK Listed Harry Rosebery Stakes (5 furlongs) at Ayr, plus placing in each of the UK Gr2 Flying Childers Stakes (5 furlongs) at Doncaster, UK Gr3 Molecomb Stakes (5 furlongs) at Goodwood & UK Listed Roses Stakes (5 furlongs) at York.
