Shoot Out Owners Buy NZ Filly Utopia

Friday, 30th April 2010

Linda & Graham Huddy (who bought Gr1 AJC Derby winner Shoot Out for just $15,000 at the 2008 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) "have added another youngster by sire sensation High Chaparral to their team with the purchase of promising 3YO filly Utopia from the stables of Kiwi trainer John Sargent," reported columnist John Holloway in The Sydney Morning Herald. Utopia (High Chaparral-Joie De Vivre, by Zabeel) currently has a win & a runner-up (in the NZ Gr3 The Oaks Stud Manawatu Classic over 2000m at Awapuni on April 3) from 5 starts & Gold Coast trainer John Wallace "gave the filly the all-clear after flying to NZ to inspect her last week". Wallace "has the filly ready to make her Australian debut at the Gold Coast on May 8 & then goes after the Doomben Roses (Gr3 over 2020m on May 22) & QTC Oaks (Gr1 over 2400m on June 5)".
