Aust-Bred Viva Pronto Wins Macau Gr3

In Macau last night, former Coolmore shuttler Catcher In The Rye (Danehill-Truly A Dream by Darshaan) added a group success when Australian-bred 4YO entire Viva Pronto (Catcher In The Rye-Steel Shuffle, by Steel Blade) scored a 3.25-lengths victory in the HK$750,000 (A$110,000) Gr3 Macau Sprint Trophy (1200m) at Taipa. Viva Pronto (ridden by Fred Durso for Australian trainer Garry Moore) defeated 4YO gelding Wealthy Man (Danzighill-Tatts M' Name, by Trustful) & Australian-bred 4YO gelding Golden Star (Statue Of Liberty-Anley, by Snaadee). Viva Pronto (a $20,000 yearling at the 2007 Magic Millions Summer Sale & subsequently a $140,000 2YO at the 2007 Magic Millions Queensland Horses-In-Training Sale) took his record to 10 wins (also including March's Gr3 HK-Macau Trophy over 1400m at Sha Tin in Hong Kong, plus 2009's Gr3 Macau Summer Trophy over 1200m & 2008's Magic Millions Plate over 1000m) & 4 placings (including April's Gr1 Chairman's Challenge Cup over 1200m & February's Macau Gr3 Spring Trophy over 1400m) from 17 starts for HK $4,286,450 (A$610,000) earnings.
