Cutlass Bay Wins French Gr1 Prix Ganay

In France overnight, UAE-bred 4YO entire Cutlass Bay (Halling-Dunnes River, by Danzig) scored a 0.75-length victory in the €300,000 (A$435,000) Gr1 Prix Ganay (2100m) for 4YOs & up at Longchamp in Paris. Cutlass Bay (ridden by Maxime Guyon for trainer Andre Fabre) defeated Irish-bred 4YO mare Shalanaya (Lomitas-Shalamantika, by Nashwan) & fellow Irish-bred 4YO entire Pallodio (Medecis-Bent Al Fala, by Green Desert). At his previous start, Cutlass Bay also won France's Gr2 Prix D'Harcourt (2000m) at Longchamps; & last year he won the Gr2 Prix Greffulhe (2000m) at Longchamp.
