Monday, 3rd May 2010

In Italy, dual Gr1-winning Darley shuttler Dubai Destination (Kingmambo-Mysterial, by Alleged) added a group success when UK-bred daughter Evading Tempete (Dubai Destination-Late Summer, by Gone West) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the €187,000 (A$271,000) Gr3 Premio Regina Elena (1600m) for 3YO fillies at the Capannelle in Rome. Evading Tempete (ridden by Jean-Bernard Eyquem for trainer Francois Rohaut) defeated German-bred Cronsa (Martino Alonso-Croa, by Alzao) & Irish-bred Zobenigo (Orpen-Doregan, by Bahhare). Evading Tempete was a 3,000 guineas (A$5,100) yearling at the 2008 UK Tattersalls October Sale & later a €17,000 (A$25,000) 2YO at France's 2009 Arqana April Sale. Overall she now has 3 wins (also including March's Listed Prix Ronde De Nuit over 1300m at Deauville) & 4 placings (including April's French Gr3 Prix Imprudence over 1400m at Maisons-Laffitte) from 8 starts for €165,900 (A$240,000) earnings.
