Monday, 3rd May 2010

Dual Derby-winning former Windsor Park Stud and now Coolmore Australia shuttler & 6-time Gr1 victor High Chaparral (Sadler's Wells-Kasora, by Darshaan) added a group success when daughter Fairy Oak (High Chaparral-Queen Caelia, by Sir Tristram) gained the judge's decision in a 3-way photo-finish to yesterday's $100,000 Gr3 Darley Auraria Stakes (1800m) for 3YO fillies at Morphettville. Fairy Oak (ridden by Luke Nolen for trainer Peter Moody) scored by a short-neck from El Spark (Elvstroem-Dual Spark, by Spartacus) with a further head to Legislature (More Than Ready-Rose Of Latakia, by Conquistarose). Fairy Oak (a NZ$140,000 yearling consigned by Windsor Park at the 2008 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka) now has 2 wins & 2 placings from 4 starts for $74,025 earnings.
