Majestic Music Wins Alan Scott Stakes

Emirates Park Stud's Gr1-winning sire Al Maher (Danehill-Show Dancing, by Don't Say Halo) added a group success when 3YO filly Majestic Music (Al Maher-Regal Flute, by Royal Academy) scored by a short-neck against older rivals in yesterday's $200,000 Gr3 Alan Scott Stakes (1600m) at Morphettville. Majestic Music (ridden by Clare Lindop for trainers Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas) defeated favoured 5YO gelding Life To The Full (Savoire Vivre-Sinizzor, by Dieu D'Or) & fellow 5YO gelding Tagus (Encosta De Lago-Lady Capel, by Last Tycoon). Majestic Music took her record to 6 wins (also including March's Gr2 Yallambee Classic over 1200m at Morphettville, plus 2009's Gr2 Edward Manifold Stakes over 1600m at Flemington, Gr3 The Jansz Stakes over 1200m at Morphettville, Listed Lindsay Park Guineas over 1600m at Morphettville & Listed Listed Lexus Hybrid Plate over 1400m at Flemington) & 5 placings (including 2009's Gr2 Sandown Guineas over 1600m) from 17 starts for $772,610 earnings.
