Motion Pictures Wins WA Sires' Produce Stakes

Western Australia's Mungrup Stud-based stallion Oratorio (Stravinsky-Express A Smile, by Success Express) added a juvenile group success when daughter Motion Pictures (Oratorio-Zabore Loch, by Marooned) notched her 2nd successive stakes-win against the males in a fortnight with a 1.5-lengths victory in the $200,000 Gr3 West Australian Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) for 2YOs at Belmont Park in Perth. Motion Pictures (ridden by Troy Turner for trainer Dave Casey) defeated fellow fillies Miss Condition (Blackfriars-Condition, by Made Of Gold) & Ihtsatune (Ihtiram-Umatune, by Umatilla). Motion Pictures (passed-in for $48,000 at the 2009 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale) now has 5 wins (also including last start's Gr2 Karrakatta Plate over 1200m at Ascot on April 19) & 2 placings (in her previous 2 starts in March's Listed Supremacy Stakes over 1100m at Ascot & the Listed Gimcrack Stakes over 1100m at Ascot on April 3) from 7 starts for $558,000 earnings.
