Monday, 10th May 2010

Ill-fated Gr1-winning Emirates Park sire Secret Savings (Seeking The Gold-Jurisdictional, by Damascus) added a NZ juvenile black-type success when favoured filly Twilight Savings (Secret Savings-Ghemashah, by Danewin) scored a 1.25-lengths victory against the males in the NZ$45,000 Listed Selwyn River Stud Champagne Stakes (1200m) at Riccarton Park. Twilight Savings (ridden by Kelly Myers for trainer Murray & Bjorn Baker) defeated the colt Upsala (Oratorio-Cinquilla, by Mark Of Esteem) & fellow filly Miss Curiosity (Keeninsky-Kharlie Princess, by Centaine). Twilight Savings (a NZ20,000 yearling at the 2009 NZ Bloodstock Select Sale at Karaka) now has 3 wins & a runner-up from 5 starts for NZ$53,575 earnings.
