Tuesday, 11th May 2010

In France overnight, former Darley shuttler Cape Cross (Green Desert-Park Appeal, by Ahonoora) added a group success when The Aga Khan's front-running colt Behkabad (Cape Cross-Behkara, by Kris) scored by a neck in the €80,000 (A$116,000) Gr3 Prix De Guiche (1800m) for 3YO males at Chantilly. Behkabad (ridden by Christophe-Patrice Lemaire for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget) defeated fellow colts No Risk At All (My Risk-Newness, by Simply Great) & Tip Toe (Footstepsinthesand-Midnight Queen, by Platini). Previously this year, Behkabad also finished 3rd in April's Listed Prix Omnium II (1600m) at Saint-Cloud; & last year as a 2YO he won the Gr3 Prix Des Chenes (1600m) at Longchamp. Overall he now boasts 4 wins & a placing from 5 starts.
