Aust Duo Trackwork For Singapore Gr1 KrisFlyer
In Singapore, Australian visitors Gold Trail & Eagle Falls again stepped out at Kranji yesterday morning in preparation for the weekend’s Gr1 KrisFlyer International Sprint.
- Gary Portelli-trained 5YO gelding Gold Trail (Hussonet-Trail Of Gold, by Danewin) cantered over 2 laps on the Polytrack under jockey Olivier Placais, coming home the last 400m in 40.4sec & the last 200m in 13.6sec. Amanda Shotbolt (in charge of Gold Trail as she awaits the arrival of Portelli) noted: “He was bouncing around a bit this morning & is nice & fresh. While he didn’t work hard, it was a little more than what we originally intended to do. He’s eating & drinking & is nice & happy.”
- David Hayes-trained 4YO gelding Eagle Falls (Hussonet-Desina, by Desert King) canterer over 1 lap on the Polytrack with travelling foreman Lizzy Jelfs up. Jelfs commented: “Nothing special to report other than he worked slower today. We’re just chipping away. I’ve been with the horse in Dubai for 2 months now, but I would still speak to (trainer) David (Hayes) everyday just to update him.”
