Aust Trackwork Update For Singapore Gr1 KrisFlyer
In Singapore, Australian visitors Gold Trail & Eagle Falls again stepped out at Kranji yesterday morning in preparation for the weekend's Gr1 KrisFlyer International Sprint.
- Gary Portelli-trained 5YO gelding Gold Trail (Hussonet-Trail Of Gold, by Danewin) had a "light canter under Olivier Placais on the Polytrack" & handler Amanda Shotbolt reported he had added a "couple of kilos" following his workout on the Polytrack on Tuesday. She noted: "He's happy & doing extremely well. I couldn't be happier with how he's settled in." Portelli arrived in Singapore yesterday afternoon.
- David Hayes-trained 4YO gelding Eagle Falls (Hussonet-Desina, by Desert King) galloped over 1000m on grass with travelling foreman Lizzy Jelfs up, covering the last 600m in 36sec & last 200m in 11.7sec. Hayes (who arrived on Tuesday) commented: "He seems good. He settled very well in Dubai & seems to have settled here very well too. He did a gallop & breezed over 1000m on grass & sprinted up within the last 400m. He did pretty well & everything's spot-on. I will get him to do 14-to-the-furlong tomorrow & some light work on Friday & that will be that."
