Catapulted Wins Henry Bucks Straight Six

Ill-fated Gr1 Golden Slipper-winning Yarraman Park sire Catbird (Danehill-Fitting, by Marscay) added a black-type success when favoured 4YO gelding Catapulted (Catbird-Siren Miss, by Umatilla) scored a 3.25-lengths victory in the $125,000 Listed Henry Bucks Straight Six (1200m) at Flemington. Catapulted (ridden by Michael Rodd for trainer Mark Kavanagh) defeated fellow 4YO gelding Eight Bills (Octagonal-Typhoon Billie, by Rory's Jester) & 5YO gelding El Mandon (El Moxie-Chicks In Charge, by West Quest). Catapulted (a $90,000 yearling consigned by Mill Park at the 2007 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale) now has 8 wins (also including April's Gr3 evright.com Stakes over 1100m at Morphettville & 2009's Listed Marion Stakes over 1200m at Morphettville) & 2 runners-up (including last start's Gr1 The Goodwood over 1200m at Morphettville on May 2) from 13 starts for $351,725 earnings.
