Victory Gallop Into Canadian Hall-Of-Fame

Victory Gallop (Canadian-bred winner of the 1998 US Gr1 Belmont Stakes) is among the 2010 inductees into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall-Of-Fame. Victory Gallop (Cryptoclearance-Victorious Lil, by Vice Regent) also finished runner-up (to Real Quiet) in both the US Gr1 Kentucky Derby & Gr1 Preakness Stakes; the following year, he earned a US Eclipse Award as champion older male. He retired from racing with earnings of US$3,505,895 & entered stud in 2000 at WinStar Farm in Kentucky. As well as Victory Gallop , the others are breeder Mel Lawson, jockey-trainer Frank Barroby, 1966 Canadian Horse-Of-The-Year & champion older male Victorian Era (Victorian Park-Ivy, by Nasrullah) & Lady Angela (Hyperion-Sister Sarah, by Abbots Trace) who produced 1958 Canadian Horse-Of-The-Year Nearctic (sire of Northern Dancer) plus additional Canadian major winners Choperion & Lady Victoria.
