Montjeu Adds UK Black-Type

In the UK, dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) added a black-type success when Irish-bred colt Green Moon (Montjeu-Green Noon, by Green Tune) scored a 2.25-lengths victory in the £40,000 (A$69,000) Listed Fairway Stakes (10 furlongs) for 3YOs at Newmarket. Green Moon (ridden by Jamie Spencer for trainer Harry Dunlop) defeated fellow Irish-bred colt Red Badge (Captain Rio-Red Fuschia, by Polish Precedent) & the filly Miss Starlight (Trade Fair-Redeem, by Doyoun). Green Moon now has 3 wins from 5 starts for £47,468 (A$82,000) earnings.
