Gr1-winning & 4-time Gr1-placed Vinery Stud stallion Mossman (Success Express-Lichen Lady, by Twig Moss) added a black-type success when favoured 5YO gelding Prince Braeman (Mossman-Heatherbrae, by Nine Carat) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the $75,000 Listed Chief De Beers Handicap (1110m) at Doomben. Prince Braeman (ridden by Dan Nikolic for trainer Paul Perry) defeated 4YO gelding Joint Chiefs (General Nediym-Red Slippers, by Citidancer) & front-running 3YO gelding Fab Fevola (Falvelon-Furla, by Spartacus). Prince Braeman a $42,500 yearling consigned by Widden Stud at the 2006 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale) now has 9 wins & 8 placings (including January's Listed Carrington Stakes over 1100m at Randwick) from 27 starts for $385,650 earnings.
