Smoulder Wins NZ Great Northern Foal Stakes

In New Zealand, former The Oaks Stud shuttler Traditionally (Mr Prospector-Personal Ensign, by Private Account) added a juvenile black-type success (& 3rd individual stakes-winner) when his filly Smoulder (Traditionally-Flying Firebird, by Stravinsky) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the NZ$45,000 Listed Great Northern Foal Stakes (1400m) for 2YOs at Ellerslie in Auckland. Smoulder (ridden by Chad Ormsby for trainers Graeme & Mark Sanders) defeated favoured Australian-bred filly We Can Say It Now (Starcraft-We Can't Say That, by Generous) & fellow filly Shamabelle (Shamardal-Carnegie Belle, by Carnegie). Smoulder now has 3 wins & a placing from 4 starts for NZ$43,100 earnings.
