Montjeu Adds UK Black-Type

In the UK overnight, dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) added a black-type success when Irish-bred 4YO gelding Class Is Class (Montjeu-Hector's Girl, by Hector Protector) scored a 1.75-lengths victory in the £40,000 (A$69,000) Listed Festival Stakes (10 furlongs) for 4YOs & up at Goodwood. Class Is Class (ridden by Ryan Moore for trainer Sir Michael Stoute) defeated favoured fellow 4YO gelding Laaheb (Cape Cross-Maskunah, by Sadler's Wells) & Irish-bred 5YO gelding Drunken Sailor (Tendulkar-Ronni Pancake, by Mujadil). Class Is Class now has 2 wins & 3 placings from 10 starts.
