Former Widden Stud shuttler Belong To Me (Danzig-Belonging, by Exclusive Native) added a US black-type success when 7YO entire Wise River (Belong To Me-Future Guest, by Copelan) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the US$150,000 Listed Dallas Turf Cup Handicap (8.5 furlongs on turf) at Lone Star Park in Texas. Wise River (ridden by Curt Bourque for trainer Clark Hanna) defeated 5YO gelding El Gato Malo (El Corredor-One Bad Cat, by Mountain Cat) & 4YO gelding Glowing Praise (Fantastic Light-Beading, by Polish Precedent). Wise River (a US$42,000 purchase at the 2008 Keeneland January Horses-Of-Racing-Age Sale) now has 7 wins (also including 2008's Gr3 Robert Carey Memorial Handicap over 8 furlongs at Hawthorne) & 15 placings (including February's Listed Colonel Power Stakes over 5.5 furlongs at Fair Grounds & 2009's Listed Colonel Bradley Handicap over 8.5 furlongs at Fair Grounds, plus 2008's Gr3 Miami Mile Handicap over 8 furlongs at Calder, Listed Buddy Diliberto Memorial Handicap over 8.5 furlongs at Fair Grounds & Listed World Series Of Poker Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Louisiana Downs, as well as 2006's Gr3 Tropical Park Derby over 9 furlongs at Calder & 2005's Listed Grand Canyon Handicap over 8.5 furlongs at Churchill Downs) from 36 starts for US$494,567 earnings.
