Red Arrow To Begin Stud Career At Lincoln Farm

Wednesday, 2nd June 2010

US Gr3-winning & Australian multiple stakes-placed 6YO stallion Red Arrow (Red Ransom-Lady Jakeo, by Last Tycoon) will begin his stud career at the new Blandford-based Lincoln Farm in NSW, alongside fellow 1st-season sire Krupt (Flying Spur-Categorical, by Hennessy) & 2nd-season sire Ready's Image (More Than Ready-Clever Phrase, by Clever Trick). Red Arrow (whose dam Lady Jakeo was a dual Gr1-winner) was bred by Vinery Stud & sold for $225,000 as a yearling at the 2005 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney; he placed in both 2008's Gr3 Bletchingly Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield & Listed Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield for trainer Anthony Cummings, prior to a US relocation which produced wins in the 2009 Gr3 Los Angeles Handicap (6 furlongs on all-weather) at Hollywood Park, plus 2 victories over 6.5 furlongs on turf at Santa Anita Park. Red Arrow will stand his initial season at Lincoln Farm at $6,600.
