UK Sire Pasternak Seeks New Home As Larkinglass Closes

Friday, 4th June 2010

UK 17-year-old stallion Pasternak (Soviet Star-Princess Pati, by Top Ville) is seeking a new home "following the sale & possible closure of Larkinglass Stud near Shaftesbury in Dorset," reported racingpost.com. During the past 2 seasons, the stud has been home to Helissio (winner of the 1996 Gr1 Arc de Triomphe) & Pasternak (who previously stood at the nearby Sandley Stud, which ceased to stand stallions in 2008). Liz Harrington (who jointly ran Larkinglass with John & Georgie Moore) confirmed the stud had been sold to "an undisclosed client & the operation was on the lookout for a suitable place to stand Pasternak". Helissio is still owned by Alfie Buller's Scarvagh House Stud.
