Front-running 4YO entire Acclamation (Unusual Heat-Winning In Style, by Silveyville) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the US$250,000 Gr1 Charles Whittingham Memorial Handicap (10 furlongs on turf) at Hollywood Park in California. Acclamation (ridden by Christian Santiago Reyes for trainer Donald Warren) defeated fellow 4YO entire Hyades (Aldebaran-Lingerie, by Shirley Heights) & 4YO gelding Brushburn (Unusual Heat-Little Hottie, by Afternoon Deelites). Acclamation took his record to 4 wins (also including May's Gr2 Jim Murray Memorial Handicap over 12 furlongs at Hollywood Park) & 8 placings (including February's Gr2 Strub Stakes over 9 furlongs at Santa Anita, plus 2009's Gr1 Hollywood Derby over 10 furlongs at Hollywood Park, Gr2 San Gabriel Handicap over 9 furlongs at Santa Anita, Gr2 Del Mar Derby over 9 furlongs & Listed Ralph Hinds Handicap over 9 furlongs at Fairplex Park) from 19 starts for US$497,048 earnings.
