Anabaa Adds French Gr3

Former Widden Stud shuttler Anabaa (Danzig-Balbonella, by Gay Mecene) added a French group success when Aga Khan-bred 4YO entire Dalghar (Anabaa-Daltawa, by Miswaki) scored a 2.5-lengths victory in the €80,000 (A$116,000) Gr3 Prix Du Palais-Royal (1400m) at Longchamp in Paris. Dalghar (ridden by Christophe Lemaire for trainer Alain de Royer-Dupre) defeated Irish-bred 3YO colt Colonial (Cape Cross-Elizabeth Bay, by Mr Prospector) & 5YO entire Salut L'Africain (Ski Chief-Mamana, by Highest Honor). Dalghar took his record to 4 wins (also including 2009's Listed Prix Luthier over 1500m at Deauville) & 3 placings (including 2008's Gr2 Criterium De Maisons-Laffitte over 1200m) from 8 starts for €151,300 (A$219,000) earnings.
