Monday, 7th June 2010

In France overnight, European champion 4-time Gr1-winning Darley shuttler Shamardal (Giant's Causeway-Helsinki, by Machiavellian) added a Gr1 triumph when German-bred colt Lope De Vega (Shamardal-Lady Vettori, by Vettori) notched his 2nd Gr1 success in 3 weeks with a decisive 4-lengths victory in the €1.5 million (A$2.175m) Gr1 Prix du Jockey Club-French Derby (2100m) for 3YOs at Chantilly.
