Monday, 14th June 2010

In Canada, former Darley shuttler Elusive Quality (Gone West-Touch Of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) added a black-type success when daughter Roan Inish (Elusive Quality-Inish Glora, by Regal Classic) scored by a head in the C$484,000 Listed Woodbine Oaks (9 furlongs on all-weather) for 3YO fillies at Woodbine in Toronto. Roan Inish (ridden by David Moran for trainer Carolyn Costigan) defeated Moment Of Majesty (Saint Liam-Lady Indy, by A.P.Indy) & Embur's Song (Unbridled's Song-Embur Sunshine, by Bold Ruckus). Roan Inish now has 2 wins (also including 2009's Listed Princess Elizabeth Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Woodbine) & 3 runners-up (including May's Listed Fury Stakes over 7 furlongs at Woodbine & 2009's Listed Glorious Son Stakes over 7 furlongs at Woodbine) from 7 starts for C$495,314 earnings.
