1st Winner For US Freshman Sire Bandini

Friday, 18th June 2010

In the US overnight, Gr1-wining & track record-setting 8YO freshman stallion Bandini (Fusaichi Pegasus-Divine Dixie, by Dixieland Band) recorded his 1st winner when Florida-bred 2YO filly Let's Get Fiscal (Bandini-Bouvet, by Touch Gold) scored by 5.5-lengths on debut over 5 furlongs at Belmont Park in New York. Let's Get Fiscal was a US$130,000 2YO at February's Ocala Breeders Sale. Bandini (who stands for US$6,500 at Walmac Farm in Kentucky) won the 2005 US Gr1 Blue Grass Stakes by 6-lengths among 3 wins from 5 starts as a 3YO; he opened his 2006 4YO campaign by lowering the main track record for 8 furlongs at Gulfstream Park (1min 34.19sec) & added victory in the Gr3 Skip Away Stakes, before closing his career (due to an ankle injury) with a 4th-placing in the Gr1 Metropolitan Handicap at Belmont Park.
