Monday, 21st June 2010

Former Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a UK juvenile group success (& 110th stakes-winner world-wide) when unbeaten Irish-bred daughter Memory (Danehill Dancer-Nausicaa, by Diesis) scored by a head in the £70,000 (A$121,000) Gr3 Albany Stakes (6 furlongs) for 2YO fillies at Royal Ascot. Memory (ridden by Richard Hughes for trainer Richard Hannon) defeated fellow Irish-bred Margot Did (Exceed And Excel-Special Dancer, by Shareef Dancer) & US-bred Tiz My Time (Sharp Humor-Tiz The Hour, by Tiznow). Memory was a 72,000 guineas (A$130,000) yearling at the 2009 UK Tattertsalls October Sale. Overall she now has 2 wins from 2 starts for £43,301 (A$75,000) earnings.
