HK Record-Setter Tiger Prawn Joins NZ Kingston Lodge

Wednesday, 23rd June 2010

Also in NZ, Gary Hennessy announced South African-bred & Hong Kong track record-setting stallion Tiger Prawn (Goldkeeper-Fox Of Gold, by Golden Thatch) will stand the 2010 season at his Matamata-based Kingston Lodge this season for NZ$4,500+GST. Tiger Prawn won 6 of his initial 10 starts in HK (including a 1200m track record 1min 8.7sec) before injury subsequently ended his career & Hennessy noted: "He was a big, powerful sprinting type & he's got a great temperament. He's clean-legged with a lovely shoulder, head & neck & a huge jowl. He's the type of horse they love in Hong Kong & I'm sure he'll get strong & early types, like other members in his pedigree."
