Shamillion Wins Australia Post Stakes

European champion 4-time Gr1-winning Darley shuttler Shamardal (Giant's Causeway-Helsinki, by Machiavellian) added a black-type success when gelded juvenile Shamillion (Shamardal-One In A Million, by Redoute's Choice) won the $100,000 Listed Australia Post Stakes (1400m) for 2YOs at Eagle Farm by a short-head. Shamillion (ridden by Shane Scriven for trainer Barry Baldwin) defeated fellow gelding Benny's Buttons (Refuse To Bend-Stolen Beauty, by Mossman) & colt Audacious Spirit (Bel Esprit-Roskeel, by Zeditave). Shamillion (a $60,000 yearling at the 2009 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) now has 1 win & 2 placings from 3 starts for $96,000 earnings.
