Superscenic Wins York Stakes

Monday, 28th June 2010

Ill-fated former Durham Lodge stallion Scenic (Sadler's Wells-Idyllic, by Foolish Pleasure) added a black-type success when 7YO gelding Superscenic (Scenic-Magic Zem, by Zemindar) swooped late to score by a nose in the $75,000 Listed York Stakes (1600m) at Belmont Park in Perth. Superscenic (ridden by Jessica Hill for trainer Jim Taylor) defeated 4YO gelding Mega Steel (Helenus-Cabernet Queen, by Marauding) & favoured top-weight 5YO gelding Roman Time (Danetime-True Roman, by Is It True). Superscenic took his record to 11 wins & 5 placings from 52 starts for $310,620 earnings. (Click on the link for full race details from Group Race Results at AAP Racing.)
