NSW Jockey Ferris In Induced Coma

Jockey Patrick Ferris is in an induced coma in Newcastle John Hunter Hospital "to release pressure from bleeding on the brain" after suffering "a race fall at Muswellbrook yesterday," according to The Age. An earlier fall in April during a barrier trial left Ferris with 2 broken ribs, a punctured lung and a dislocated collarbone.
