Southwestern Heat Retired To Stud At A&A Ranch

US stakes-winning 6YO stallion Southwestern Heat (Gone West-Xtra Heat, by Dixieland Heat) will enter stud in 2011 at A&A Ranch in New Mexico, reported bloodhorse.com. Kentucky-bred Southwestern Heat was the 1st foal out of multiple Gr1-winner Xtra Heat, who won 26 of 34 starts (25 stakes victories) & was voted 2001 Champion 3YO filly. Meanwhile Southwestern Heat notched 4 wins (including the Listed Sonny Hine Stakes) & 9 placings (including the Gr3 Hirsch Jacobs Stakes, Listed Oh Say Stakes, Listed Rumson Stakes & Listed Anderson Fowler Stakes) from 17 starts.
