Aussie Rules Adds German Gr3

In Germany overnight, dual Gr1-winning freshman sire & Coolmore shuttler Aussie Rules (Danehill-Last Second, by Alzao) added a juvenile group success when Irish-bred daughter Djumama (Aussie Rules-Western Sky, by Barathea) scored a 0.75-length victory in the €105,000 (A$148,000) Gr3 Preis Der Winterkonigin (1600m) for 2YO fillies at Baden-Baden. Djumama (ridden by Adrie de Vries for trainer Andreas Lowe) defeated fellow Irish-bred Aigrette Garzette (Peintre Celebre-Aigrette, by Gone West) & Danedream (Lomitas-Danedrop, by Danehill). Djumama was a 5,000 guineas (A$8,500) weanling at the 2008 UK Tattersalls December Sale & subsequently a 22,000 guineas (A$37,000) yearling at the 2009 Tattersalls December Sale.
