Monday, 25th October 2010

In New Zealand, undefeated champion juvenile & dual Gr1-winning former Darley shuttler Tobougg (Barathea-Lacovia, by Majestic Light) added a group success (& 12th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when gelded son Barside (Tobougg-Chita Rivera, by Casual Lies) scored a 3.25-lengths victory in the NZ$85,000 Gr2 NZ Bloodstock Wellington Thoroughbred Breeders Guineas (1500m) for 3YOs at Trentham. Barside (ridden by Lisa Allpress for trainer Trent Busuttin) defeated the filly Elusive Tracy (Elusive City-Trestres Tracy Ann, by Archway) & fellow gelding Anotherchancetaken (No Excuse Needed-Winning Spree, by Zabeel). Barside (passed-in as a 2YO for NZ$38,000 at the 2009 NZ Bloodstock Ready-To-Run Sale) now has 2 wins & 3 placings from 10 starts for NZ$59,825 earnings.
