UK Tatts Dec Mares Day-2: $1.815m First
Bloodstock agent Charlie Gordon-Watson out-bid The Aga Khan's stud manager Pat Downes & paid 1.1 million guineas (A$1.815m) for French stakes-winning 12-year-old mare First (Highest Honor-Pushy, by Sharpen Up) consigned as part of the dispersal of Henrietta Bedford's Bloomsbury Stud & sold in-foal to former Darley shuttler Cape Cross. First (a grand-daughter of Bloomsbury's blue-hen foundation mare Mrs Moss) is the dam of stakes-winners Law Lord & Perfect Stride, while her colt foal by deceased former Darley shuttler & Gr1 Dubai World Cup winner Singspiel sold for 320,000 guineas (A$528,000) last week.
