UK Tatts Dec Mares Day-2: Major Aust Buys
Meanwhile several Australian buyers were involved in major purchases during the 2nd session at Tattersalls:
- Paul Fudge of Waratah Thoroughbreds (acting through Michael Goodbody) paid 360,000 guineas (A$594,000) for stakes-winning 5YO mare Rainbow Dancing (Rainbow Quest-Danceabout, by Shareef Dancer) consigned as part of the Bloomsbury Stud dispersal & sold in-foal to Sinndar.
- Tim Stakemire paid 320,000 guineas (A$528,000) for Australian-bred 11-year-old mare Silent Heir (Sunday Silence-Park Heiress, by Sadler's Wells) consigned from Ireland's Kiltinan Stud as part of the Breeding Capital dispersal.
- John Foote paid 260,000 guineas (A$429,000) for 4YO mare Waltz (Sadler's Wells-L'ancresse, by Darshaan) consigned from Mertoun Paddocks. Her dam L'ancresse is a former European champion 3YO filly.
- Tim Stakemire also paid 220,000 guineas (A$363,000) for 9YO mare Anna Pallida (Sadler's Wells-Masskana, by Darshaan) consigned from Genesis Green Stud as part of the Pendley Farm dispersal.
