6 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong, 6 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Sha Tin:

  • 4YO gelding Solar Boy (Al Maher-Racing Queen, by Alysheba) won over 1200m for trainer Peter Ho. Solar Boy was a $15,000 yearling consigned by Emirates Park at the 2008 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 3YO entire California Choice (Redoute's Choice-Storminwinter, by Seattle Slew) won over 1000m for trainer Anthony Cruz.  
  • 4YO gelding Healthy Blueberry (Danewin-Barawin, by Barathea) won over 1800m for trainer Peter Ho. Healthy Blueberry was a passed-in as a yearling for $150,000 at the 2005 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 5YO gelding Happy Reunion (Dubai Destination-Admiral's Lass, by Tong Po) won over 1200m for trainer Ricky Yiu. Happy Reunion was passed-in as a yearling for $22,500 at the 2007 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale & subsequently a $125,000 2YO at the 2007 NZ Bloodstock Ready-To-Run Sale.
  • 5YO gelding Chater D'Cat (Tale Of The Cat-Royal Season, by Royal Academy) won over 1650m for trainer David Ferraris. Chater D'Cat was a $30,000 yearling consigned by Namerik Thoroughbreds at the 2007 Magic Millions Perth Premier Sale.
  • 4YO gelding Kyara (Pins-Promessa, by Reprimand) won over 1400m for trainer David Ferraris. Kyara was a $65,000 yearling consigned by Monarch Stud at the 2008 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney & subsequently passed-in for $72,500 as a 2YO at the 2008 Inglis Victorian Ready-To-Run Sale.
